Alexander Panarin’s Scientific Heritage and Discussions about Path of Russian Civilization. (Summary of the Tenth Jubilee Panarin Readings)

My review is a brief report about 10^th Panarin Readings. This is Alexander Panarin (1940-2013), who was well-known Russian political philosopher and Political Science theorist, whose scientific heritage became the conceptual core of this annual conference.

Topicality of this overview is due to Alexander Panarin’s tradition influence on contemporary philosophy and politics theory in Slavs countries, such as Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Bulgaria, Poland, and Serbian Republic. The reason for this effect is the fact that civilization pressing challenges (globalization and globalism, national identity, global forecasting, etc.) are at the heart of Panarin's political and philosophical conception, which is closely connected with the religious, civilization and philosophical heritage of and historical Russia and the Slavic world as a whole.

In my overview I set out a brief history of Panarin Readings and summarized main reports represented at 10^th Jubilee Panarin Conference “Mission of Russia in the Modern World”. I have shown most of reports concentrated on succession of Russian civilization and Russian cultural identity. Prof. V. Mironov, Dean of MSU Philosophical Department, and politician S. Mironov told about transformations of cultural foundations and about education role in this process. Prof. M. Maslin, Dr. A. Kozyrev, Dr. A. Stepanov, and Prof. M. Gromov discussed the role of Russian philosophy for Russian history interpretation. Based on my summary I conclude on the importance of Panarin Readings for scientific community since these conferences form an alternative trend in modern political researches and in studying of political philosophy.
