В русле разрабатываемой автором геоцивилизационной концепции рассматриваются тенденции эволюции, особенности и перспективы цивилизационных парадигм и модусов безопасности в современном мире. Обоснована целесообразность системообразующей роли России в формировании полицентричной структуры мироустройства

The current state of the world-system is characterized by two opposite trends that determine the specifics of geocivilizational security and global confrontation. The first trend is connected with the results of the ‘cold war’; it is the domination of a group of countries led by the United States, trying to impose on the world community a system of global political diktat. The second trend is the increasing formation of the polycentric structure of international relations. Here, Russia and China play a system-forming role, including and with the highest priority by means of their civilizational paradigms and modes of security.

The subject matter of my inquiry is features and prospects of the major contemporary civilizational paradigms and modes of security and global confrontation, mutually conditioned by competition between this paradigms and modes that I study using proprietary methodology of the geocivilization approach. It makes possible to reveal the dependence of the nature of the geo-civilizational security paradigm and global confrontation as results of interaction between leading states of the West and the East, and Russia.

The devaluation of liberal values, the collapse of multiculturalism, crisis of the EU, as well as miscalculations in the political, military-strategic and financial-economic spheres are pushing the leaders of Western countries to use emergency consolidation measures, mainly through a purposeful relations aggravation with Russia, by geopolitical practice on the contradictions between India and China and by strategies of geo-economic dilution of these states. For the countries of the East in the coming decades, the vital task is to develop measures of collective security, which can only be solved with the help of Russia. The creation of a geocivilization union of Russia and the leading Eastern states will help to minimize destructive effect of global hegemon degradation and coalition led by it, which purposefully destroys not only individual states, but entire regional systems, including with the help of extremist and terrorist structures. The totality of geopolitical, geo-economic, geo-information and geo-cultural components of extremism and terrorism in modern conditions form the geocivilizational status of this social phenomenon; effective counteraction to this should also be carried out at the geocivilization level too.

I conclude that synthesis of leading non-Western civilizations’ achievements, their unique historical experience and traditions will create a promising image of the world order favorable for geocivilization, wherein Russian idea, India's ‘network’ social technologies and Chinese stratagems will form the agenda for the mankind development in the third millennium, the new geocivilizational paradigm and mode for the world-system security.
